Jami Kirkbride lives on a Wyoming ranch. She has a master’s degree in counseling, is a certified personality trainer, freelance writer, and speaker. Her inspiration comes from everyday adventures with her husband, Jeff, and their four children. Jami’s work has been featured in Around Cheyenne, on Hopegivers.org, and on MOMSense radio broadcast and MOPS website.
She grew up on a farm in Colorado. Through an odd twist of events, her once sheltered and naive perspective of life was challenged. “I felt as though my life was turned upside down. I didn’t think there would ever be a brighter day. I was exposed to a variety of life experiences...many that I never dreamed possible.”
Those challenging life experiences helped mold her into the person God desired her to be. He allowed her perspective to be forever changed. “While there are events in my life that I know were unfortunate and devastating, I can clearly see that I am a different person because of them. To remove those events from my life would change who I have become.”
She desires to use her life experiences to relate with others who may be experiencing or know someone who is experiencing something similar. Struggles in life don’t have to look the same...sometimes just being able to relate to the feeling of “having the rug pulled out from under you” is all that matters. Whether your situation involves death, divorce, victimization, depression, or any other hardship, there are others who can identify with your hurt and pain.
Jami’s life verse speaks of her inspiration through the difficult times.. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “Plans to prosper you, not to harm you. To give you a future and a hope.” As she encourages others through hardship, she is making the most of every opportunity. God has given her unique life experiences and she desires to use them for His glory.
“God has given me a future and a hope. He has blessed me over and over. I think of His blessings each day as I enjoy my four joyful children, a loving supportive husband, and a home nestled quietly on a ranch in Wyoming. There were many days I never thought I would find sunshine after the rain.”
